Due when foal is approximately 14 days old: 15% ($_____), which is refundable, should the foal die before weaning. Due on or before foal is 90 days old: Balance of purchase price Complete weaning will occur at approximately 4 months of age, at which time the owner will make arrangements to take delivery of the foal.  Board will be charged at $150 per month, pro-rated for partial months once the foal reaches 4 months of age.. All expenses attributed to the foal, once birth has occurred, are the owner's responsibility.  This will include the post foaling check; IGG testing, worming, vaccines, injuries and all other veterinary expenses for the foal. Owner of the mare (Leigh Smith) will be responsible for normal care and maintenance of the mare while pregnant and during the nursing period.  Feeding the foal, and the costs of feeding the foal will be the responsibility of the owner of the mare. Should the foal die, either in-utero or once delivered, the owner of the foal will be refunded all moneys except for the initial 15% deposit.  This guarantee is valid only for the period from the start of this contract to the date the foal becomes 90 days of age. Every effort will be made to insure the health and well-being of the mare and foal during the period of this contract.  Any issues that occur that may affect the health and well being of the foal will be reported to the owner of the foal.
